Joel’s love for the Napa Valley is evident in his community service work and charitable giving. He is a member of St. Helena Rotary, the St. Helena Public Schools Foundation and Endowment Trust, the St. Helena Hospital Board of Ambassadors, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and advises Our Town St. Helena on affordable housing issues. He has been an English-Spanish operating room translator for Rotoplast in Guatemala and a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama, where he taught sustainable agriculture practices.
Joel holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in agricultural business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and speaks fluent Spanish.
